The Credit Information Companies (Regulation) Act, 2005 ("Act"), the Credit Information Companies Regulations, 2006 ("Regulations") and the Credit Information Companies Rules, 2006 ("Rules") issued under the Act (collectively, the "CIC Laws") permit only member credit institutions, member credit information companies and certain member specified users (collectively, the authorized "Users") to access credit information.
For details on who constitute specified users, please refer to Sections 2(l) of the Act and Regulation 3 of the Regulations, the link to which can be found on the web page "CIC Laws" on this portal.
Users are not permitted to disclose such information for any purpose except as permitted or required under applicable law in force.
